Course Description
Hole #1
A wide fairway welcomes you to Osgood but you must choose whether
to play the ball to the left or right of the native grass area in
the center of the fairway. The green is tiered with the back tier
lower than the front so club selection is crucial.
Hole #2
Rated the Number 1 handicap hole for a reason. Place your tee shot
in line with the sand on the right side of the fairway to give you
an opportunity to land your second shot on the fairway. Aggressive
players may choose to play the left side of the fairway on the tee
shot. This leaves a shorter second shot but you must navigate over
water and sand. The fairway near the green slopes to the water,
so give yourself enough room to keep the ball dry.
Hole #3
A short Par 3 with a tricky green. Keep the ball below the hole
or face a quick, downhill putt.
Hole #4
A long Par 4. Either play over the sand on the right side of the
fairway or play the left side if you’re not sure if you can
carry the bunker.
Hole #5
A short Par 3 with many obstacles to intimidate. Water and sand
surround the green so choose your club carefully.
Hole #6
A short par 4 but don’t be fooled by the distance. The tree
in the center of the fairway will affect your second shot so you
must choose to play your drive either to the right or the left depending
on where the pin is located. The green is separated by a dip that
makes accuracy a must on your approach shot.
Hole #7
Keep the ball left off the tee. The water on the right comes farther
left than you think and is reachable especially if the wind is at
your back.
Hole #8
The wind will knock down your ball so take more club than you think
on this Par 3.
Hole #9
A challenging finishing hole, this par 3 becomes very challenging
when the wind is blowing. Keep the ball straight or you may find
yourself stuck in the Native Grasses.
Hole A
Be careful of the sand behind the green on this short Par 3.
Hole B
A large pond covers the entire length of the left side of the fairway
so be aware of the direction of the wind when you pick your target.
Hole C
An open fairway gives you options, but be ready for a difficult
putt if the pin is placed on the back of green.
