Construction Report on Hole 4 at Rose Creek Golf Course

Construction Update as of August 18, 2010

At this time, the greens cavity has now been filled with greens mix and leveled. Next, staff will check elevations and adjust the contours as needed. Staff will also begin hauling in topsoil for the area surrounding the new green and tee.

Construction Update as of August 10, 2010

At this time, a grid of drain tile has now been installed in the base of the green for drainage. Next, staff will cover the entire greens cavity with four inches of pea rock then check the elevations.

Construction Update as of August 6, 2010

The Rose Creek maintenance staff along with the Parks Maintenance staff has started construction of a new “flood green” on hole number 4.  This will not replace the existing green but will allow golfers to play an actual green during a flood event and recovery. The construction will not disrupt play and all 18 holes will continue to stay open during the entire process. We are also adding a new forward tee that will be slightly more forgiving. So far the green and the tee have been shaped and installing drainage is the next step.
