Cart Path Construction Begins at Osgood

A cart path construction project is set to begin at Osgood Public Golf Course the morning of Tuesday, May 8. The Fargo Park District is installing concrete cart paths to replace existing gravel paths currently used on holes 1-9. Once complete, carts can be used sooner in areas previously not allowed during wet conditions.

“The gravel cart paths have been a nuisance for riders, walkers and golf maintenance from the beginning,” shared Lisa Schwinden, Osgood PGA Pro. “Paving these paths will allow us to have golf carts out sooner when it rains and give walkers a much easier smoother path to walk.”

Throughout the construction project, Osgood Public Golf Course will remain open for golfers. Cart path construction may slow play at times and the 3-hole loop will be unavailable during construction. Three holes will be worked on at any given time, and 9 holes of play will be playable at all times. Carts will still be allowed during the construction project.

The cart path project is anticipated to take four weeks to complete, with a projected completion by June 8.
